One night while watching a movie during quarantine, Amanda Kossoff, decided that she simply had to improve upon the artificial, yellow butter in her microwavable popcorn. And from that point on her desire and commitment to help others took root and blossomed.

Pop for a Cause is a 501(c)(3) organization that sells popcorn and donates 100% of its profits to charities. Amanda Kossoff, CEO and President, supported by student board members and volunteers, sells popcorn from their website, and hosts a variety of local, charitable events.

Student volunteers gathered on January 22 for A Wider Circle Care Packaging Event in Rockville, MD. They worked on packaging more than 300 Oral Care Kits (toothbrushes/toothpaste/floss) that benefited residents in Washington Highlands and included a personal note inside each bag.

Pop for a Cause is looking for student volunteers for April Earth Day events! Plant trees, garden, etc. Visit popforacause.org or follow @popforacause on Instagram!

To become a student ambassador and to get involved in your community, or to support deserving charitable organizations by purchasing popcorn, visit popforacause.org. To connect with Amanda, email info@popforacause.org.
