Yoga Pod invites us to embrace strength, balance, and focus with this week's featured pose: Trikonasana, or Triangle Pose. This pose not only strengthens your muscles, but is known to be therapeutic for anxiety, flat feet, infertility, osteoporosis, and even sciatica.

How to get into posture:
Step 1. Begin in a standing position (Tadasana).
Step 2. Step your left foot back about 3-4 feet, turning it perpendicular to your front foot (about 90 degrees).
Step 3. Raise your arms to shoulder height, palms facing down, and parallel with the floor.
Step 4. Inhale, and on exhale slowly reach your right arm towards your right foot
Step 5. Rest your right hand on your outer shin or ankle.
Step 6. Keep your face relaxed, and breathe gently as you press down through your feet with your left arm pointed towards the ceiling.
Step 7. Hold for up to one minute, inhale, rise back to standing, pivot your feet and switch sides.
