1. How would you describe the atmosphere and community that has grown around ROK Golf since you first opened?
From the early days, the vision for ROK Golf was holistic golf improvement in a “seriously fun” atmosphere. Lessons, practice, competition, training, equipment, and fun, you need all to improve. ROK combines elite simulator technology (Trackman), expert instructors, and a laid-back 19th hole vibe that makes it enjoyable. As membership grows, the community grows with it. Our leagues are a great example, expanding with each new season. Golf improvement takes work, but players will only stick with it if it’s fun, they see results, and it fits their schedule. ROK delivers on all three.
2. What’s the biggest misconception people have about golf improvement?
The most common misconception is that improvement comes from just playing or hitting balls “blind” on the range. Another is that indoor turf can’t simulate real conditions. The truth is, the best players in the world practice far more than they play, and they do it with data, video, and coaching. Our technology eliminates variables like weather, range ball quality, and bad lies. Practicing indoors gives players consistent surfaces and instant feedback through Trackman, video, and instruction.
3. What makes ROK Golf different in how you approach long-term progress?
Every golfer learns differently and needs different support. We offer lessons, coaching, equipment, and competition under one roof. That allows us to be honest about what a player actually needs. Sometimes it’s equipment, sometimes it’s just refining one swing element. We avoid selling large lesson packs and upselling unnecessary gear. Our core the mission is to build long term relationships with our customers and trust that their success will drive our growth.
ROK Golf has two Austin area locations, one in Westlake Hills at 701 S. Capital of Texas Hwy Ste 520E and one in Bee Cave at 12908 Shops Pkwy Ste 100.
