Style is as much about how you carry yourself as what you wear. RJ Garcia exudes both confidence and humility, exemplified by his impeccable posture.
K-State football fans know RJ as the wide receiver who played time in every game in the 2022-2023 season. His biggest catch of the season was a 25-yard touchdown in the Big 12 Championship to give K-State a 21-10 lead over Texas Christian University.
Fans may not know that RJ chose K-State with dozens of offers, including from Ivy League schools like Yale, UPenn, and Dartmouth. For RJ, choosing K-State came down to the people. “I love it here,” says RJ. “I love the slow pace of life. People go out of their way to help you.”
RJ began to discover his own sense of style during his senior year of high school as he started buying clothes for college. He describes his style as simple and neutral, but he likes to show his personality through his shoes. He has found fashion inspiration from many of his fellow teammates, who he says show up to early morning workouts in “a full outfit” to keep the grind entertaining.
