Darcy DeBord was pretty happy with her career in the hospitality industry. But her husband’s industry seemed to draw her in, bit by bit. Her husband Daniel is a 4th generation plumber. He had become a Master Plumber in the State of Texas at the age of 22 and became a partner in his father’s business. It seems that the two were very like-minded when it came to creating still waters, especially for their respective customers. Thus, the name Still Waters Plumbing was created.
So, Darby eventually asked if she could take some workers and form a service company. Her concept seemed to fit Daniel’s appeal to make a company based on hiring the best plumbers. Thus, the culture of the company grew to be based on that. The company doesn’t want to be just another plumbing company, but one offering community service as well.
Darcy and Daniel are proud of their amazing team of several licensed plumbers, their four fully fitted vans, which work out of three offices. The team all have over 20 years of plumbing experience and assure that no corners are cut. They feel that they have found their “niche” by providing quality service in plumbing combined with their community service.
Darcy says she was heart-broken when they received a non-5 star rating. However, realizing that no company is perfect, the team learned from the less than perfect review and grew from it. And their near perfect 5-star rating from about 3000 reviews attest to that commitment to strive for perfection. That is awesome considering the company has been in business for only a little over 5 years.
Giving back to the community has always been a goal of Still Waters Plumbing. They partner with local organizations and find various means to serve such programs as the Prosper Education Foundation with Scholarships and Direction 61:3 that supports aging foster kids. They feel it is their mission to be a part of the community that we live in with our business and through our business.
Daniel and Darcy are very appreciative of “Papa Smurf”, Danny DeBord, Daniel’s father. He was the 3rd generation of plumbers but Daniel and Darcy say it “all started with Papa Smurf”.
The family is rounded out by 4 year-old Eliana, their “incredibly smart and kind” daughter and “little cheerleader” for both the family and company. And, of course, what wonderful family doesn’t have a rescue dog, in this case, Daisy, a rare Dutch Shephard.
