Tip #1 - Clean Window Tracks
Use a vacuum hose to suck up any loose dirt and debris. Cover the worst areas with baking soda. Make sure to get into all the nooks and crannies. Cover the baking soda with white vinegar. Don’t add too much or you’ll wash away the baking soda. Let the vinegar and baking soda sit on the area for 5 to 10 minutes. Take an old toothbrush and scrub. Once all the gunk and baking soda is loose, take a damp cloth and wipe.
Ingredients for Homemade Glass and Mirror Cleaner
- 1/2 cup rubbing/isopropyl alcohol
- 1/3 cup white distilled vinegar
- distilled water
Add the alcohol and vinegar to a 16 oz glass spray bottle. Add water until the bottle is full (use a funnel, if needed). Add a few drops of your favorite cleaning essential oil if desired. Spray on windows and wipe away with cloth rag.
Tip #2 - Wash your Screens
Mix the dish soap with the bowl or bucket of water. Use the water hose to wet the window screen well. Use a soft scrub brush to lightly scrub away dirt and debris with the soapy water. Use a very soft brush and gently massage the screen to clean. Use a clean cloth to wipe the screen frame. Rinse screens with water and let dry.
