Developers Mike and Kim Clinard know more than a thing or two about the Hill Country. Under the trade name Ranches at Real Estate, they’re behind the enviable properties at Ranches at Sentinel Peak in Fischer, Ranches at Round Mountain near Marble Falls, and recently announced Ranches at Dripping Springs. When looking for the location of their next project, fast-growing Dripping Springs was at the top of their list.
“We chose Dripping Springs because it is a great market nestled in the heart of the Hill Country,” Mike says.
Since their company’s founding in 2014, the Clinards have partnered with Mark and France Clausen, principles of the award-winning Veritas Group based in Dripping Springs. Together, they sold out the renowned Ranches at Sentinel Peak and now eagerly anticipate marketing the Ranches at Dripping Springs and Round Mountain.
Like the other Ranches locations, Ranches at Dripping Springs is focused on low-density development with luxury ranchettes on large tracts. The Clinard team protects the land through wildlife management and builds high-end ranch-style homes.
“Amazing views for every lot are critical. As is maintaining the minimum acreage required for wildlife management and proximity to urban development.” Mike says. “We want every lot to have an award-winning view.”
The new project has 23 exclusive land tracts spanning 13 to 20 acres each. The 389-acre planned community is located just a few miles from Highway 290 at the Hays/Blanco County line along FM 165. The highest peaks within the community are more than 1,600 feet in elevation.
“There are stunning views in all directions looking toward Dripping Springs, Spicewood, Marble Falls, Johnson City and the hilltops and canyons along the FM 165 corridor,” Mike adds.
He also notes that amazing canyons, small ponds and a few seasonal ‘dripping springs’ distinguish the development from others.
The Clinards’ passion for the land is undeniable. When a portion of the project was caught in a 400-acre fire, they didn’t back down.
“There were completely burned trees covering a large portion of the property. Restoring the natural beauty is something we are excited to deliver,” says Kim.
Mike is no stranger to managing large-scale operations. Prior to starting Clinard Properties, he spent 18 years with Cardtronics, a global leader in managing ATMs. As CEO and President of Global Services, he was instrumental to the company’s success and growth.
The couple has been married for 27 years. Mike was born and raised in Houston, and Kim is from Southern California. They raised their three children, Madie (age 27), Kait (age 25) and Jack (age 20), in Katy, and are delighted that Madie’s husband, Trevor Conn, is involved with their company and contributing to its success.
Mike and Kim live a God-centered life and have their own ranch in between Wimberley, Dripping Springs and Blanco where Kim pursues her passions for birds, nature, and taking care of animals, including their llamas, goats, horses, longhorns, cows and chickens.
Part of the vision of Ranches at Real Estate is to deliver this ranch lifestyle on a smaller scale because not everyone desires a large ranch. The easier-to-manage tracts still have plenty of room for animals, wildlife and your dreams to grow.
