When it comes to navigating the mortgage and insurance worlds, Debbie and Randall Benzel are powerful guides. Both are at the helm of their respective businesses. Debbie, a branch manager for Highlands Residential Mortgage, spends her days closing deals and running a small group of loan officers. Randall, who owns All Insured Group, helps clients find insurance for their home, health and beyond. During the workweek, they collaborate, sharing clients or business advice. But when the weekend arrives, they set it all aside, climb on their Harley and hit the open road.
“We make our time together a priority,” Debbie says. “We bust our butts during the week but we also live our life to the fullest. We live it and we know that tomorrow is never promised.”
Business brought Randall and Debbie together, but their shared passions keep them driving on. The two met while working at the same firm, and quickly became friends who shared a love of football and family. Both had children from previous marriages and wanted the best for them. They shared in their faith and love of motorcycles. Over the years, they’ve conquered the winding Hill Country roads near Wimberly and journeyed to biker rallies across Texas.
The two use their hobbies and experiences as a way to support those around them.
“You help everyone get to the level of success that they want to get to,” Randall says. “And your success will follow.”
Every Christmas, they team up with other bikers and ride to raise money for the Boys and Girls Country children’s home. Individually they give back as well. Randall is a long-time officer with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo helping exhibitors get animals and gear into the show. Debbie, a breast cancer survivor, has often spoken about her experience to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.
The couple has forged deep relationships in Cypress, through business deals and their everyday outings. They are humble and easygoing and turn to each other to learn and grow. Their friendship keeps them grounded and their vision of selfless service moves them forward.
