Investing in one’s physical and emotional well-being is important. If you’re looking for a vacation spot that will offer pure relaxation, consider the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve in Puerto Rico; the resort’s motto “doing nothing means everything” is meant for you.

Located on the northernmost tip of the island, it occupies 72 acres of a protected beachfront peninsula at the foothills of El Yunque rainforest. Instead of walking the expansive grounds, you can catch a ride on the golf carts driven by very pleasant staff members.

The Hyatt has a tropical vibe with its open-air lobby and reggae music wafting around the property. You can choose to just chill next to the many pools, among them a large sprawling lagoon-style pool featuring a swim-up bar or for pure pampering, you can enjoy a massage or facial at the full-service Rainforest Spa, which includes a steam room and jacuzzi.

There are five restaurants and three bars at the restaurant including Prime 787, a steakhouse, and Nectar, which offers local Puerto Rican cuisine. A breakfast buffet is offered at the Water’s Edge and a food truck near the pool bar serves up casual fare. Room service and a grab-and-go market are also options. For visitors looking for more economical food offerings, local restaurants near the resort can be reached by either taxi, Uber, or the rental car services offered by the resort.

The rooms and suites are spread out in bungalows throughout the property as well as new villas.
Guests interested in outdoor activities have a wide range to choose from. Tennis and pickleball courts are available, as well as a well-groomed running trail. Complimentary kayaks and paddleboards await those looking to get out on the water. An indoor gym is also available with up-to-date equipment.

For any golfers in the group, the resort’s two 18-hole championship golf courses are outstanding. Players of any skill level are welcome to enjoy the dazzling ocean views and greens that are kept in tip-top condition.

Potomac visitors agree: whether planning for a getaway for just yourself, as a couple, for your family or even for a large business meeting or retreat, the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve offers something for everyone. For
those who want nothing more than to unwind and relax or for others who prefer days filled with
activities, look into Puerto Rico’s gem of a resort. You’ll be reluctant to leave!
