Raspberry Caipirinha Recipe!

This cocktail recipe helps transition your drink to an elegant late-summer, early fall citrus-forward cocktail.

Mixology is made easy with this refreshing Raspberry Caipirinha recipe. It's a vibrant, tangy riff on Brazil’s national cocktail. Tower Club Tysons' Executive Chef Dalton shares his step-by-step guide so you can create this drink easily at home.

While the classic template relies heavily on the rustic taste of quality cachaça, this variation balances that vegetal cane-juice profile by incorporating fresh, muddled raspberries. The fruit elevates the drink's natural acidity while contributing a rich, ruby hue and a dry, seed-tart complexity that rescues it from becoming cloyingly sweet. Built directly in the glass with fractured ice — take out your crystal tumblers for this drink and offer your guests a masterclass in balancing aggressive citrus oils, bright fruit esters, and robust sugarcane distillates. It also looks so pretty!

Raspberry Caipirinha

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

  • 2 oz Grey Goose vodka
  • 1 oz cachaca
  • 3/4 agave
  • 3/4 lime juice
  • Two lime wedges and 5 average sized raspberries - muddled

Instructions

Place the lime and raspberries in the bottom of a glass. Muddle them together well to get lots of juice out of the lime and break up the raspberries. If you don't have a cocktail muddler, you can use a wooden kitchen spoon or the base of a shot glass.

Add the cachaca, vodka, and agave to the glass then transfer to a shaker with some ice and shake well.

Strain the mixture into a glass to serve, topped up well with crushed ice.
