From a Top 10 US festival in Edmond, to a day filled with water sports, we give you the inside scoop so you can be sure to celebrate the day in style, doing something your whole family loves.

Liberty Fest

Liberty Fest, in Edmond, has been named one of the top 10 4th of July celebrations by CNN and USA Today. Going on 40 years, the festival is city-wide, featuring family-friendly events such as concerts, a kite fest, rodeo, car show, food, parade, fireworks and entertainment. The celebration is a week-long event of patriotic celebration honoring our nation’s birthday. Liberty Fest has 11 festival events designed to “excite, entertain and dazzle festival audiences.”

A Celebration in the Heartland

For a super kid-friendly 4th, come to Moore’s outdoor festival, A Celebration in the Heartland. Kids will enjoy an art tent, giant sand pit, various inflatables and more. For grown-ups, the celebration will feature live music, craft vendors, food booths, local vineyard wine-tastings and more. For the vehicle enthusiast, there's also an open car, truck and motorcycle show. Food will feature fair favorites, including grilled onion burgers and funnel cakes. End the evening with a spectacular fireworks display.

Red, White and Boom

For the classical music fans, the Oklahoma State Fair Park’s Red, White and Boom is for you. A free concert presented by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic will take place along with other festivities. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy on-site concessions and settle in for a spectacular fireworks display after dark.

OKC 4th Fest

For an action-packed, sports-filled 4th, come to the OKC 4th Fest in the Boathouse District. Held in lower Bricktown, the festivities start at the Centennial Fountain with a family-friendly deejay playing Top 40 country tunes. With the Oklahoma River as a backdrop, join in the Riversport adventures or just watch other dare-devils. Lawn games, food trucks and more will provide even more entertainment. The fireworks, starting at 9:45 p.m., will be visible from anywhere within the Boat House District and surrounding areas.
