Liz Van Osdol loves helping people find their perfect home. Raised right here in Venice, Liz is an Exit King realtor, home remodeler and interior decorator who has her finger firmly on the pulse of our region’s real estate market. She likes nothing better than meeting new clients, getting to know their personalities, lifestyles and housing needs, and quickly taking them to the best listings for them.
With 25 years of knowledge working in our local market—Liz is an expert on our market from Anna Maria Island all the way to booming South Sarasota County—and her keen ability to understand what people want, she has a reputation for quickly closing deals.
“I’ve gravitated toward interior decoration and homes since I was twelve years old,” Liz says. “I learned to love real estate from my mother. She was always taking me to tour homes.”
Mother to two daughters herself now, Audrey and Lauren, both students at Sarasota County’s internationally recognized Pine View School for the Gifted, Liz is married to Mark, who supports her real estate endeavors through his company, Van Osdol Marble And Tile, as well as the couple’s joint remodeling company, Venice Renovation and Décor.
“People like knowing I have interior design skills,” Liz explains. “After I sell a home, I often help my clients select furniture and decorations. When we list a home, we depersonalize it and stage it with real ‘pop’. I have helped clients find homes on short notice as well as sell properties that were languishing on the market.”
Smart, kind and savvy, Liz is always eager to explain the market to her clients, many of who are arriving in Florida for the first time. She especially likes to let them know how vibrant south Sarasota County is, with eleven superb, free beaches all within a twenty-minute drive.
“I believe in going above and beyond the call of duty for my clients,” Liz says. “There is so much that I do for my clients that others don’t. For example, when my clients purchase a new construction, I go to the site every other day. I make sure everything looks good and send pictures to the homeowner. They’re nervous, they’re many states away. I really hold my clients’ hands and help them through every aspect of the process. I feel personally invested in every deal I make because I know we are truly changing lives. I’m fully invested in my clients’ satisfaction.”
What Liz is most excited about right now is the recent announcement of the Wellen Park master-planned community. West Villages will now be a part of the greater growth of Wellen Park.
“I love the new name,” Liz says. “The Wellen Park name has its roots in wellness and water, and the whole area looks like a beautiful park. It’s going to connect Manasota Beach, the Atlanta Braves spring training stadium and the West Villages, all under the new name. I think it’s going to be absolutely fabulous for the growth of our community.”
