The Unique Artistry of Rebel Rustic

Crafting Dreams into Reality

Rebel Rustic isn’t a standard woodworking business. Plenty of shops make furniture, but Navy veteran Casey Vineyard strives to make home art that’s functional, practical, liveable, and one-of-a-kind.

“We aim for our projects to be unique and artistic,” says Casey. “We bring someone's vision to life and create something they can call their own in their space.”

After 13 years in the corporate world, Casey started Rebel Rustic in 2016 out of his garage in Kyle. “I used the little bit of retirement money and a lot of faith to start my business,” he says. “Initially, I was just doing handyman type work but quickly realized my artistic skills could be used in a much broader way by building custom doors.”

Casey has since expanded his custom-made pieces beyond barn doors. He also builds accent walls, consoles, farmhouse furniture, and tables. In fact, one of those tables changed his life.

“I actually met my wife because she ordered a table from me,” Casey shares. “It was an immediate connection; we were married seven weeks after our first date.”

The business has moved along with Casey and wife Jessica to their property in Hays County, doubling in size from their previous shop in Wimberley. Jessica brings years of education and business experience to Rebel Rustic, and the couple shares the same values in prioritizing quality over quantity.

“One thing that truly sets us apart is our commitment to quality, during and after the sale. We stand by our work and have a very high rate of repeat and referral business,” says Jessica. “We also strive to give back to the communities that have supported us, often donating custom projects for auction to support members of the community in need. Dripping Springs has been very good to us over the years.”
