Red River ER & Hospital opened in November 2025 and provides patients with the very best in emergency care. Taylor Poteet, Business Development Manager at Red River ER & Hospital, explains that although it will be primarily an emergency room and hospital, they will offer outpatient services with the latest technologies and equipment for patients requiring laboratory and imaging services, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and X-rays. Poteet says, “We can provide overnight inpatient care, pediatric care, and will have two triage rooms, seven emergency rooms, and four inpatient rooms. We are an advanced care, 24 hour, and 365 days a year facility. We are even open on all holidays."
Red River ER & Hospital thinks you will be pleased to discover shorter wait times and board-certified emergency room physicians. Poteet adds, "We are unique in that we are a physician-owned and operated emergency care facility. And yes, that means that you will see the physician owners actually on the floor providing emergency care. Our doctors work 24-hour shifts and will do whatever they can to provide the best care available."
The administrative team all have clinical experience as well. In fact, Taylor Poteet has a background as a 14-year CT and X-ray professional. “I was looking for something new and challenging, but in the world of medicine. I also wanted to be very involved in the community. Personally, that is very important to me, and I know it is important to all of our staff. Our experience gives us a different perspective than most typical medical facilities. We offer a patient care-forward perspective. I have been so encouraged to see residents get excited about our facility opening. We want them to know we are available for them day or night. Here, they are going to find out that they will have a lot of face time with their care providers. We offer concierge care. You will not be just a number here. You will be well taken care of.”
The hospital is already making an impact in the community. Poteet shares, "We recently partnered with the City of Sherman Health and Insurance Fair, and we immediately joined the Sherman Chamber of Commerce. We want to be able to provide a facility where local medical students can have first-hand experiences and learn from our experienced staff of medical professionals."
Red River ER & Hospital accepts all major insurances and even VA coverage. “We are not competition-driven with our other local hospitals.
