Dr Marrero, what inspired you to open your practice in Roswell, and what makes this community special to you?
When the opportunity to open in Roswell came along, it felt like the perfect fit. Over the years, my wife Dr Barroso and I lived in different parts of Atlanta and talked about making Roswell/Alpharetta our home. After several years in Florida, this chance brought us back to the exact community we had always imagined raising our family. Roswell is special because of its welcoming, family-centered atmosphere and strong sense of community, we’re grateful to be part of it both personally and professionally.
How does your background in physical medicine and rehabilitation shape the way you care for patients?
My background is centered on helping people live their lives to the fullest. Instead of only treating symptoms, I look at how an injury or condition impacts everyday life—whether that’s working, playing with kids, or enjoying hobbies. My goal is to design care that not only relieves pain, but also restores confidence, independence, and joy in movement.
What fuels your passion for helping people reclaim their quality of life?
Movement has always been central in my life—through my background in water polo and my wife’s in dance. We’ve seen firsthand how exercise creates strength, confidence, and connection. That’s why helping patients move freely again is so meaningful. I want them to rediscover the same fulfillment that comes from doing what they love.
How would you describe your practice to someone new?
We listen closely, create personalized care plans, and focus on more than pain relief—we help restore function, confidence and quality of life. Because this is also our home, serving our neighbors and community makes our work even more rewarding.
