This October, Northern Highlands City Lifestyle marked its grand debut with a spectacular launch party and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Jack Daniels Porsche Showroom in Upper Saddle River. The event brought together local leaders, business owners, magazine partners, and community members for an evening dedicated to celebrating connection, collaboration, and the unique spirit of Bergen County.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony with the North Jersey Chamber of Commerce was a highlight of the evening, symbolizing more than just the launch of a magazine—it marked the creation of a platform designed to connect, inspire, and elevate the community. Upper Saddle River Mayor Arman Fardanesh officiated the ceremony alongside Jack Daniels Porsche COO John Nunley, Peter Helou, Jack Daniels Porsche General Manager, City Lifestyle Publishers Anthony Rizzo and Jake Slowinski, Upper Saddle River council members Donna Friedlander and Joanne Florio, Allendale Councilman Daloisio, and other notable figures. Together, they celebrated a shared mission of fostering community and supporting local businesses.
A Night to Remember
The launch event reflected the magazine’s mission to build a foundation of collaboration and community connection, with a focus on supporting and highlighting local businesses. The Jack Daniels Porsche Showroom served as the perfect backdrop for the festivities, with its sleek and modern design setting the tone for an evening of innovation and celebration.
Guests enjoyed handcrafted cocktails by Born to Rum and a curated selection of culinary delights from Iachetti’s Kitchen. Adding a sweet touch to the evening, Curbside Confections delighted attendees with treats from their candy truck.
The excitement peaked with the unveiling of Porsche’s groundbreaking 2024 Macan EV, a sleek and technologically advanced vehicle that embodied the forward-thinking spirit of the event.
The event space came alive with stunning balloon installations by Balloon Chica and elegant floral arrangements by Wyckoff Florist & Gifts, creating a visually stunning atmosphere. Entertainment was provided by JJ Entertainment, whose lively DJ sets and photo booth kept the energy high throughout the night. Every moment was beautifully captured by ML Creative Company and NBPro Media, ensuring the memories will live on through stunning photography and videography. Guests were greeted by a custom sign from CXB Designs, adding a warm and personalized touch.
The evening’s success was due to the collaboration and creativity of talented partners and vendors, with special thanks to EMLABDON Events for their expert planning and coordination, ensuring every detail of the event ran seamlessly.
A Growing Community
The journey of Northern Highlands City Lifestyle is rooted in the passion of its founders. Publishers Tiffany and Jake Slowinski were early adopters of the City Lifestyle brand, launching magazines in Bridgewater and the Somerset Hills. They were later joined by Tiffany’s cousin, Anthony Rizzo, who opened Pascack Valley City Lifestyle. The expansion to Northern Highlands represents the natural evolution of their vision, allowing them to serve even more vibrant communities across New Jersey.
“This magazine is about bringing people together,” says Rizzo. “We live in a special area, full of talented people and incredible businesses, and we want to be the bridge that connects them. Whether it’s through stories of local entrepreneurs, features on exciting events, or simply shining a light on the beauty of life in Bergen County, we’re here to inspire and celebrate.”
Strengthening Bergen County Connections
The launch of Northern Highlands City Lifestyle reflects the belief in the power of community. By connecting small businesses with local families, the magazine amplifies the voices of those who make Bergen County thrive.
“This launch is a testament to what happens when a community supports each other,” Rizzo notes. “It’s not just about the magazine—it’s about the partnerships and friendships that grow from events like this.”
As the team looks ahead, Northern Highlands City Lifestyle is excited to continue building connections and sharing the stories that define Bergen County. With upcoming issues focusing on home, investment, and lifestyle topics for men and women alike, the magazine aims to be a resource for the entire community.
“We hope this magazine becomes a reflection of the incredible people and businesses that make this community so special,” says Publisher Jake Slowinski. “We want to celebrate what’s here, while also inspiring what’s possible.”
To everyone who attended our launch, supported our vision, and contributed to its success—thank you. Together, we’re creating something truly special, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Northern Highlands City Lifestyle.
Here’s to new connections, shared stories, and a community that continues to thrive.
