Cars & Cowboys

Fueled by Horses, Horsepower, and Heart

In a region celebrated for its natural beauty, deep sense of community, and unforgettable experiences, Cars & Cowboys is fast becoming one of the most anticipated events of the year. Equal parts Western soirée, classic car showcase, and high-impact fundraiser, this spirited celebration returns for its fourth annual gathering on Saturday, September 6, 2025. This year, it shifts into high gear at a stunning new location: the newly reopened Rancho San Marcos Golf Course—a destination that combines rustic charm with sweeping panoramic views of the Valley.

Presented by Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach and the Santa Ynez Valley Senior Citizens Foundation, Cars & Cowboys is more than a festive evening; it is a rally for a cause. Proceeds from the event directly support vital local services, including Meals on Wheels SYV, which delivers thousands of hot, nutritious meals annually to seniors and homebound residents. The impact of every ticket is tangible: each one funds 30 meals for someone in need right here in our community.

This year’s festivities promise the perfect blend of style and substance. The event lineup is an evening of nonstop entertainment. Guests will stroll through a carefully curated display of custom and vintage cars, toe-tapping performances by musician Jonathan Fiery, and high-energy country dancing with the always-popular Crazy Country. Throughout the evening, K-LITE’s Scott Topper Productions will keep the vibe alive with music that spans country favorites and crowd-pleasers. Come dressed in your best cowboy boots, hats, and fringe — Western attire is encouraged and adds to the festive, Valley vibe.

Admission includes all-you-can-enjoy food and drinks from local favorites and access to both a silent and a thrilling live auction led by the dynamic Taylor Glines. From unique local experiences to one-of-a-kind items and exclusive packages, the auction offers something for everyone, and every bid supports SYV Community Outreach’s expanding impact.

“Cars & Cowboys is where fun meets philanthropy,” says Pam Gnekow, Director of Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach. “We set out to create something memorable, and it’s become a signature event that the community looks forward to—and depends on.”

Organizers expect more than 400 guests this year, up from 250 in previous years. Tables of eight are available for $1,200, while individual tickets range from $125 to $150.
