Romance at Pasquale’s?

Landmark all set to host lovebirds of any generation

It’s February, folks, and you know what that means. Romance at Pasquale’s? You bet!

“Since we reopened in April, I've had numerous married couples reminisce over how they had their first date in our restaurant years prior,” said General Manager Taylor Buckley. “We’ve also had guests tell us about how they used to get dropped off at the old movie theater and walk across the field or down the street to come have dinner!”

The landmark pizza place on the city’s northwest side was the first pizza parlor in the county when it opened back in 1968. It’s both nostalgic and modern, and it’s all set to host lovebirds of any generation.

“We’re still playing around with what exactly we will be doing for Valentine’s Day, but one of the overarching points is that it needs to have a theme of love!” Buckley smiled. “After I accepted the position of general manager, but before I moved up from Orange Beach, Steve Morgan, one of the owners, sent me a video of a pizza that our then staff of five people made, and it was in the shape of a heart! This would be difficult for us to replicate on a large scale like what we will be producing, but it gave me the idea of having our pepperonis in the shape of hearts on the pizzas.”

Pasquale’s isn't just a romantic date destination; it’s also deeply involved in the community through donations to local sports teams and organizations, as well as being a donation site for Toys for Tots and The Link of Cullman County’s food bank.

“I think it’s very important that businesses give back to the community that they're involved in,” Buckley explained.

“After all it would not be possible to have such a successful business without the support of those around us!”
