The Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has been serving the CSRA for 53 years as a top-rated oral surgeon practice, committed to providing exceptional care across a full range of services—from wisdom teeth removal to dental implants and bone grafting. Now, the practice is proud to welcome Macarius Mark Abdelsayed, DMD. A graduate of Augusta Preparatory Day School and the University of Georgia, Dr. Abdelsayed earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia, where he graduated with honors and was recognized on the Dean’s List throughout his program.

Dr. Abdelsayed is currently completing his final year of an intensive, four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Augusta University. During his training, he completed externships at prestigious programs across the country and earned multiple awards for clinical excellence, research, and leadership.

“I’m very excited to join CFOMS because I am given the opportunity to work in a Christ-centered organization where I will be able to give back to the community I grew up in,” he shares. “When deciding the best approach to take with a patient's treatment, I ask myself: If it were my mother or father sitting in the chair, what would I do?”

Dr. Abdelsayed adds, “What I love most about the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery is that I can positively impact patients’ lives in a profound way. We have the ability to relieve pain and help rehabilitate their oral and skeletofacial health in a way that is both safe and comfortable.”

Looking ahead, he’s eager to grow as a clinician. “In this next chapter of my career, I am looking forward to the mentorship from Drs. O'Neal, Trotter, Scott, and Huffman. These providers are excellent surgeons and true gentlemen. I look forward to working with them and learning from their example.”
