For Realtor Nick Daugherty, gratitude and community are closely connected. As he builds his real estate business in Peoria, the relationships formed along the way have become just as meaningful as the homes he helps clients buy and sell.
“I’m most thankful for the relationships I’ve built through real estate and the clients who have trusted me,” Nick says. “I’m also grateful for the mentorship and support of Frank Aazami and the Private Client Group at Compass.”
For Nick, being part of a community means supporting the people and businesses that make it feel like home. He recently launched Vistancia View on Instagram with the goal of creating a resource highlighting local restaurants, businesses, events and new developments throughout Peoria.
“I think supporting the people who invest in our community is one of the simplest ways we can all help make it stronger,” he says.
His commitment to giving back also extends to Compass Golf, which connects agents nationwide through a referral network supporting the American Cancer Society. Nick hopes to expand that impact locally through charitable golf tournaments supporting families affected by cancer.
As Peoria continues to grow, he believes maintaining a strong sense of community requires everyone to participate.
“Eat at the locally owned restaurant. Recommend the small business that gave you great service. Attend a neighborhood event. Help a neighbor,” Nick says. “Small actions can make a big difference when an entire community participates.”
For Nick, those connections are also at the heart of what makes a house a home.
“Home is where your life happens,” he says. “It’s where families gather, kids grow up, holidays are celebrated and memories are made.”
Looking ahead, Nick hopes his impact grows alongside his business.
“As my business grows, I want my ability to give back to grow with it.”
