Alloy Personal Training has found roots in Parker and owners Brian and Jamie Totah are full of vision, passion and big dreams for their business and family. Having lived in Parker for two years, their goal is to build relationships and community in an industry that impacts people.
“Alloy is a family-friendly business,” Jamie shares. “Health needs to be number one. If you don’t put your health first, then how are you going to provide for your family? How will you take care of your kids, your parents, live a longer life and be happier? The first step is getting yourself in the door and putting yourself first.”
For them, staying active is a lifestyle. With Brian’s experience in retail and Jamie’s medical background in kinesiology, launching Alloy was an intentional connection to their passions. For them, it’s about staying connected and active as a family.
Jamie grew up playing basketball and Brian enjoyed tennis. Being active and competitive has always been part of who they are. These days, baseball gets their family outdoors and traveling.
“Our oldest is nine. He is very obsessed with baseball. He wants to be an MLB player when he grows up, so our family tradition is, every year, we try and hit at least one baseball stadium or two. Both of our kids have a big map in their room where they mark where they’ve been,” Jamie explains proudly.
Brian adds, “This year, we’re going to Maryland, so we’re gonna go see the Baltimore Orioles in their stadium. At every stadium, we get them a baseball with that team on it for their own trophy cases. That’s our biggest tradition that we’re doing right now. It’s fun!”
He continues, “Whenever we go on family vacations, we always like to find somewhere to hike, something to do as a family outdoors. The most recent one, we were in Utah doing some back trails.”
“It’s bringing back the time when we didn't have all those electronics,” Jamie says. “I remember when I was little and we lived in the mountains for a little bit. My sister and I would go on hikes, build forts or climb trees. You know, just being out in the wilderness, enjoying life. We are trying to instill that in our kids. We encourage them to use their imagination.”
What’s next? “We’ll get into pickleball soon. I think that’s our next step,” Brian beams.
