Senior Concerns’ Love Run Returns:

A Community Tradition With Heart

On a bright June morning in the Conejo Valley, something special happens. Neighbors gather, families lace up their shoes and a shared sense of purpose fills the air. It’s not just a race—it’s a tradition rooted in compassion.

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, Senior Concerns’ 32nd Annual Love Run, presented by Logix Federal Credit Union, returns to Westlake Village, inviting the community to come together in support of a cause that touches thousands of local lives.

At its heart, the Love Run benefits Senior Concerns’ Meals On Wheels program—an essential service that delivers more than just food. Each year, the program provides over 70,000 nutritious meals to more than 450 homebound older adults across Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Oak Park and Agoura Hills. But beyond the meals, it offers something equally important: a daily check-in, a moment of connection and reassurance that someone cares.

“The Meals On Wheels program is about far more than nutrition,” says Andrea Gallagher, president and CEO of Senior Concerns. “It allows older adults to remain safely and independently in their own homes, while also supporting their overall health and well-being. As the need continues to grow, community support becomes more critical than ever.”

The Love Run has become one of the region’s most anticipated community events, drawing more than 2,500 participants and hundreds of spectators each year. As the second largest 5K/10K in the Conejo Valley, it offers something for everyone—whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker or simply there to cheer others on.

Choose Your Race

Participants can choose from four race options: the Pennymac 10K, the Carol’s Tribe 5K, the California American Water One-Mile Fun Run, and a virtual run sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. The event culminates in a lively Finish Line Festival, featuring a Health and Wellness Expo, interactive activities and a beloved pancake breakfast served by the Thousand Oaks Kiwanis.

One of the day’s highlights is the “Plenty of Plates” activity, sponsored by Los Robles Health System—a meaningful reminder of the mission behind every mile: ensuring no senior in our community goes hungry or feels alone.

Beyond the race itself, the Love Run is a powerful example of what happens when a community shows up for one another. Volunteers, sponsors, families and local businesses all play a role in making the day—and the impact—possible.

For those who want to participate, registration is now open. Whether you run, walk, volunteer or fundraise, every step taken helps deliver meals, connection and peace of mind to a neighbor in need.
