With both SPENGA and Trainers Spot going strong, Kelly Hater has become synonymous with accessible fitness in Loveland, helping shape how people move, train, and take care of themselves. But beyond the growing wellness footprint, there’s a deeper story about Kelly herself — her routines, her mindset, her approach to health. And how she’s built that thriving fitness empire.

Kelly’s personal routine reflects the same philosophy she brings to her businesses: consistency over extremes, strength over shortcuts.

“I genuinely enjoy feeling strong. It translates into confidence, energy, and longevity, not just aesthetics,” Kelly explains. “So my routine is built around consistency and strength. I attend SPENGA twice a week, and I lift heavy 2–3 times a week at Trainers Spot.” Her favorite workouts are strength-based, especially progressive lifting.

“I love helping my body do hard things safely and intentionally,” Kelly says. “When it comes to healthy practices, I keep things realistic and sustainable. I focus on quality sleep, hydration, and movement that supports my lifestyle, not punishes it.”

Kelly also focuses on specific approaches to nutrition and stress management.

“I prioritize protein on my plate first, then vegetables,” Hater says. “I believe in balance. It’s simple but flexible. If I choose a glass of wine or a brownie, I’ll pass on the pasta. It’s about intentional choices, not restriction.”

“And managing stress has been a big part of my growth as an entrepreneur,” she continues. “I’ve learned resilience,  understanding that I can’t make everyone happy. I stay grounded by focusing on my purpose, which is helping others become healthier and stronger, both physically and mentally. That clarity helps me manage stress and stay aligned with what truly matters.”

While SPENGA and Trainers Spot serve different audiences, they fulfill equally important needs in Kelly’s life while reflecting two sides of the same mission.

“Trainers Spot fulfills my entrepreneurial and leadership side — it gives personal trainers a professional, supportive space to run and grow their own businesses,” Kelly says. “I know firsthand how hard it can be to build something on your own, so Trainers Spot exists to remove barriers and allow trainers to focus on what they do best: coaching and changing lives.”

SPENGA fulfills her passion for community and accessibility.

“It’s a boutique fitness concept that intentionally delivers what people truly need — even if they don’t realize it yet — by combining strength, cardio, and flexibility in one efficient workout,” Kelly says. “It meets people where they are, simplifies fitness, and makes consistency achievable. I love being able to introduce people to a smarter, balanced approach to fitness in a welcoming, high-energy environment.”

Together, the two businesses allow Kelly to support both sides of the fitness industry: the professionals who coach and the people who show up to train.

“At the core of both is the same purpose: helping others become stronger, healthier, and more confident while building something sustainable and meaningful,” Kelly explains.

In 2025, Kelly and SPENGA were honored with the LMRCA Best Fitness Award, a milestone she describes as deeply personal.

“Health and fitness aren’t just what I do. They’re how I serve,” Kelly says. “This award represents years of showing up, building community, supporting others, and staying committed to helping people become stronger and healthier — often before they believe it’s possible for themselves.

“It reminds me that leading with integrity, resilience, and genuine care truly matters — and it motivates me to continue raising the standard for health, wellness, and fitness in my community.” A foundation built on grit, purpose, and a deep commitment to lifting others up.
