Sister’s WhimZy, a unique shop nestled in the heart of Mt Juliet, was a dream created over drinks at the pool by two friends, Marquita and Carm. Little did they know, sitting here ten years later, that this relationship and dream would grow to be much more than just a gift shop. They have held each other up in the hardest seasons, such as Carm fighting breast cancer and Marquita losing her spouse suddenly. By having each other and the community they have created through their shop and Mt Juliet, they have overcome the challenges and now can be those people to the community and friends that visit their shop every week.
Marquita was a stay-at-home mom for 12 years who was ready to rejoin the working field, and Carm was coming off of 18 years working downtown Nashville and they were both looking for something new. They had dabbled in community events together and saw something special about the bond they carried and the way they each worked off of the strengths of the other.
This boutique started in Marquita's home until it practically pushed them out the doors into a 400 square foot space. When the unique house they've made their store home in became available, they weren't sure if they had it in them to occupy such a large space, but the exact location had been a dream of Carms for many years. They like to say the location chose them.

You will notice the store's unique layout with nooks and crannies full of decor, accessories, and clothing. The design, stylizing, and merchandising of everything is credited to Leslie Sevelius. She is their third partner and right-hand lady who has put lots of time and effort into making Sisters Whimzy as magical as it is.
They have now been in their cute little shop on N Mt Juliet Rd for five years now, and you will never miss it as it is the one-of-a-kind pink and green building.
