SNACK OF THE MONTH

Shaggy Coos Milk from Shaggy Coos Creamery

Madison Vitale, one of the eponymous sisters behind the food-review social media brand @sistersnacking, recently moved to Fairfield County. (A Connecticut native, she and her sisters were on the cover of our 2024 Food Issue.) She’s been tasting and trying restaurants and cafés all over the area ever since. In this new column for Westport Lifestyle, Madison will be sharing a small bite she’s been loving lately. For more of Madison’s Fairfield County recommendations, follow her on Instagram @madi.snacks or on TikTok @madi_snacks.

Milk might not sound like a snack, but I have been using the farm-fresh milks from Shaggy Coos in my matcha lattes (what I affectionately refer to as Madi’s Matcha Corner) for a few months now, and they absolutely count to me. I like to use both the maple milk and the Creamline whole milk (they have converted me into a whole milk girl!) in my latte, along with my ceremonial-grade matcha powder, some ground cinnamon, a splash of Crown maple syrup, and a sprinkle of Maldon sea salt. It is, honestly, filling because the milk is so rich and creamy. The Shaggy Coos farm store in Easton is all on the honor system, so you go in and check out your items yourself, and you can also visit the animals when you stop by. It’s worth the trip!
