Almost 15 years ago, Robin and I started with a sofa and ended up with a room at Paul Trent’s The Sofa Guy. When we moved into our Braemar townhome in North Ranch, we were thrilled with everything about our new home with one major exception—a family room layout that made it almost impossible to place a sofa anywhere in the room. We could not comfortably entertain or watch TV on a day-to-day basis. After several false starts and complete failures, Robin discovered Paul Trent and The Sofa Guy. In no time at all, Paul designed a custom sofa that fit what was until then a dysfunctional space. As you can see from the photo, after all these years of cuddling up, “plotsing” and watching TV, it is still beautiful and looks as good as new. The quality and functionality turned a poorly designed room into a winner!
Through the years Paul and his warm, highly professional team at The Sofa Guy have helped us with several projects. Most recently, Robin discovered an exceptional liquor cabinet. She realized immediately that it would enhance our living room and give us a great place to keep our wine and liquor glassware. Well, it didn’t just enhance our living room, it completely changed it from “okay” to exceptional. The fun part is that during COVID restrictions Robin has become our family mixologist and all of her equipment has found a great home. We also have a classy place for my very special Cornet Barcelona wine goblets.
Recently Paul and his team have “upped their game.” The Sofa Guy (that’s Paul) and his new TSG Interior Design team will help you turn every room into your favorite room. Whether it is a custom designed sofa or other furnishings from The Sofa Guy Collection or national brands like Burton James and Bradington Young; furniture, rugs, accessories and lighting from Palecek; Global Views; Arteriors; John-Richard; Made Goods; Essential for Living; Lolo;, and Jaipur Rugs, plus thousands of couture fabrics from well-known lines such as Ralph Lauren, Schumacher, Kravet, Stout and Fabricut, your entire home is their palette.
When you visit their 3,400-square-foot showroom you will be greeted by friendly professional staff who will take care of your needs from a single room to your entire home. The Sofa Guy is not just a design studio and furniture store—it is what Paul calls a “fashion forward” firm that combines the two concepts. As you can tell, Robin and I have always been treated like family by this family owned business. Come by and pay a visit. You will become family as well.
