When it comes to those special events in life, it all starts with a vision. Generally, that vision encompasses everything from the décor and the food down to the flower centerpieces, and it is all in the spirit of evoking a feeling or an emotion. Whether the event is 10-15 business partners meeting over lunch, or a full-service dinner on-site for 1000 guests, the devil is always in the details.

Event Planning as Art

Event planning is all consuming and an art in and of itself. It takes a small army and excellent project management to pull off a good event and even then, there is sometimes a last-minute trip to the store for something like napkins.

Imagine having assistance with some of those details. A Michelin Star-trained chef with a full industrial kitchen sporting tried-and-true menus and venue space for business meetings to weddings. There is staff to meet you where you are and serve your guests in the setting of your choice. Garden of the Gods Events and Catering is standing by to help realize your vision.

Continuing Excellence

Mitchell and Windsor Yellen moved to Colorado Springs on a leap of faith and have been integrating themselves into the community ever since. They acquired the community staple and award-winning catering company Garden of the Gods Catering and Events and added it into the Altitude Hospitality Group with the goal of maintaining the award-winning level of excellence this company is known for. Although 2020 was a tough year for the hospitality industry on the whole, this broad-scale small business has leaned in with tenacity and is standing at the ready to aid in elevating your event.

“We are passionate about the creation of our menus and where our food comes from,” Windsor Yellen explains. “We are known for our love of food and our commitment to our clients.”

The Yellen’s have experienced food all around the world and consider themselves foodies and they are committed to continuing the upward trajectory of food offerings in Colorado Springs. The catering company boasts a Michelin Star-trained chef in Chef Devin Spear, menus that can accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions without compromising taste, an in-house floral division and a bakery that makes all of its own desserts and cakes.

“Whatever your vision,” Yellen says, “we can make it a reality.”

Spectacular Visions

They have invested in the infrastructure and manpower to accommodate some pretty spectacular visions thus far, one of which was a fully staffed, black-tie wedding located on the remote banks of the Arkansas River at dusk for 300 guests. They brought in a tent, staff, and even built a kitchen in order to make this event happen for the newlyweds. From 10 guests to 1000, Garden of the Gods Catering and Events is here to serve award-winning elevation, sophistication and style.

“We have great food, prepared by skilled staff and then served by great people,” Yellen says.

Though food is an obvious product of a catering company, Garden of the Gods Catering and Events is equally focused on hospitality.

“From the hospitality we show our clients, our vendors and each other,” Yellen stresses they are a people-first company focused on commitment to their clients.
