Creating a spa-like bath retreat is the goal of many homeowners. Lucie Hasek, owner of Creative Elements, says incorporating natural features with high-end fixtures can create a perfectly elegant bathroom.
“Many people want their master bath to be a sanctuary, a place where they can unwind and let go of the day. It needs to feel spa-like, soft, elegant and easy. It needs to be a relaxing place to be,” Lucie says.
In order to establish a warm and inviting atmosphere, Lucie turns to natural elements. “Soft, natural wood tones are in, and honestly, are timeless,” she says. The light gray granite countertops and tiles in various shades of white contribute to the soft, relaxing vibe of the room. But the floor steals the show with its lovely muted pattern.
“We chose a porcelain tile that is both matte and polished to create a stunning herringbone pattern,” Lucie says. “We wanted to make sure the floor gave the bathroom a unique look without being overemphasized.”
The room is equally functional as it is beautiful with plenty of storage space. “This transformation provides so much more use and practicality to the bathroom,” she says.
Detail One:
By installing a large recessed tower in the middle of the vanity, Lucie was able to provide the homeowners with extra storage, as well as defined personal space.
Detail Two:
By removing the unwanted bathtub, Lucie was able to create more linear space to accommodate a bank of drawers with floating shelves above.
Detail Three:
Barn doors are on trend for their style, but these functional elements provide full-length mirrors for the dressing area and make the space seem even larger and brighter.
