Get Excited About Summer with Spark's Creative Pop-Up Experiences

For a lot of kids, summer is meant for hanging out wherever there's AC and strong WiFi. But if you're wanting to get your kids out of the house while flexing their creative muscles at the same time, you're definitely going to want to check out SPARK! Dallas' PRISMATIC Pop-Up Experience at South Side on Lamar.

SPARK! Dallas is an innovative educational facility dedicated to fostering creativity in children from second grade to high school. Founded in 2010, SPARK! was inspired by the St. Louis City Museum, and made it a mission to provide opportunities like field trips, summer camps, weekend activities, and after-school programming, all designed to tap into the creativity inherent in children.

This year, SPARK! partnered with Meow Wolf Grapevine to debut an exhibition featuring the artistic creations of 28 high school students from across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This exhibit is an immersive experience that showcases the students' creativity through a number of themed areas that have been imagined, designed, and built in a single color and theme.

Meg Bittner, the executive director at SPARK! Dallas, says: "As an inaugural grantee of the Meow Wolf Foundation for 2023-2024, SPARK! Dallas is honored to announce Meow Wolf Grapevine as a presenting sponsor, which will contribute to the success of the PRISMATIC Art Pop-up Experience. This partnership not only provides financial backing, but also offers amazing opportunities for student enrichment, including behind-the-scenes tours at Meow Wolf Grapevine, mentorship from Meow Wolf’s Exhibitions team members and funding for materials."

If you're ready to schedule a visit to the PRISMATIC Pop-Up Art Experience, the exhibit is open to the public beginning June 1 all the way until September 29. Hours are 1:00pm-8:00pm Fridays, 10:00am-8:00pm Saturdays, and 1:00pm-6:00pm Sundays. Ticket prices are $25 for adults, $23 for children ages 2-17, and $20 for teachers who provide a teacher ID. The exhibit will be located at 1409 Bothan Jean Blvd., Suite #004, Dallas, TX 75215.
