“We’re highlighting big, bold jewelry with layers for a bold, fresh look this season,” says Lanna Young, owner of Savvy Chic Boutique. Silver is making a comeback, whether it’s an accent piece of jewelry, or grommets to add zip to a summer handbag, Lanna and her staff will have you looking easy breezy in time for sunny days ahead!
The trend this spring and summer is very free-spirited, according to Lanna Young, owner of Savvy Chic Boutique. “Fashion is really about having fun, and choosing what’s best for you. My goal has always been about bringing current trends to Grosse Pointe,” she says. Savvy Chic is celebrating 10 years in the community, thanks to her longtime staff of six who are “fabulous at outfitting people.” Lanna and her husband live in Grosse Pointe with their two children.
The Boho Look is back! The free-spirited look is having a revival, with belted dresses in playful patterns, topped with hats and layered jewelry.
The trend for spring is called Ladylike. Think Jackie O! It’s a very feminine with voluminous skirts for a look that is “Ladylike Luxury.”
Petal Pink and Pistachio top the list of popular pastels, which always trend in spring. “This year is a softer color palette,” Lanna says. “The look is very fresh and very fun.”
Athleisure, elevated! Sporty chic and very spring-driven. “These pieces can be worn day to day, some are office appropriate for casual Friday, featuring a collared Polo shirt for a crisp look,” Lanna says.
Nautical Preppy and Coastal Cool! Savvy Chic is offering pieces with a very crisp, sailor aesthetic that is always in style for Grosse Pointe, according to Lanna. “It’s classic preppy, modern and elegant, embracing that nautical look,” she points out. “We have pieces that add a luxury element to something preppy, perhaps with some extra touches to make it a bit edgy and fresh.”
Animal print is having a moment (did it ever really go away?). “The 2025 revival is about really embracing the small print, which makes it a little more luxurious,” Lanna says. “In 2025, you can go all out and wear it head-to-toe.”
