Spring Clean

Refresh and Organize Your Space

It’s spring cleaning season! Whether the idea sparks joy or dread, most of us could clear out some clutter and refresh our space. After months of chilly weather and gray skies, spring can provide inspiration to breathe new life into your house.

As you begin organizing, start small with a drawer or cabinet. Sort items into keep, donate, and trash piles, and be realistic about what’s worth donating. Give yourself permission to get rid of mystery wires, clothes that haven't fit since the first Trump administration, and anything expired or broken.

Once you’ve reduced unwanted items, use drawer organizers, baskets, and clear bins to keep similar items together. Store coats, winter accessories, and heavy blankets to make room for items you’ll use more frequently in warmer weather.

Next, move on to deep cleaning. Wash windows, scrub baseboards, and give your appliances—including your oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and even your washer and dryer—a thorough cleaning.

Spring cleaning may require some elbow grease, but its reward—a tidy, refreshed space—will bring you a sense of ease every time you walk through the door.
