Stacey Rusch Recounts Her Motherhood Journey

Former QVC host and Bravo’s Real Housewife of Potomac Stacey Rusch says her most important role is being a mom.

Whether you tuned in to watch her selling fashion and beauty products on QVC or to catch up on the drama on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Potomac, Stacey Rusch says the role she’s most proud of is being a mom.

Rusch began her career as a yoga instructor, teaching at the White House Athletic Center, American University, the CIA and NASA, as well as working as a news anchor/reporter for various D.C. outlets, including FOX-5’s Morning News and Good Day D.C., and ABC-7’s Good Morning Washington

Well known for her popular fashion show, PM Style with Stacey on QVC, Rusch chose to step away from that role in April 2024 to focus more on her family, in particular, to spend more time with her 9-year-old daughter, Arabella.

“In the early days of my career as a yoga teacher I focused on the principle of being fully present as part of your practice. I don’t think I really understood what being fully present meant until I became a mother,” says Rusch.

“My daughter, Arabella, allows me to be present in a way that I have never felt before, and I’m so grateful for that,” she stresses. Rusch has made it her goal to balance her professional life with a fulfilling family life, especially while transitioning through a divorce.

While she admits it’s often a challenge to balance family time and her professional obligations, Rusch has learned to embrace the everyday moments that mean the most to her.

“When I’m home with Bella, our special moments are often found in the most mundane things,” she says. “For example, in the kitchen this morning we were having an animated conversation in German and Spanish, because Bella’s dad is German and her au pair speaks Spanish, and we were joking around and laughing about different things. To me, those moments are so special because they’re unique to my family and my home and our relationship.”

Rusch loves taking Bella to her weekly swim lessons and competitions, reading the Bible in bed together at night, traveling as a family, and bonding and building special memories with her daughter.

“The responsibility we have as parents to nurture our children is so important, and I’m blessed to be able to spend this time with my daughter and help shape the woman who she will eventually become.”
