Standing Up For Kids

Peachtree Corners non-profit is helping kids around Georgia

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and Revved Up Kids (RUK) based in Peachtree Corners is a small nonprofit making a big impact in Atlanta. Says Executive Director and Co-Founder, Alli Neal, “Our work is foundational for all children.” The work? RUK is on a mission to keep children and teens safer from sexual abuse and exploitation.

Everyone knows someone who has battled cancer. Statistically, though, there are more than twice as many survivors of child sexual abuse, but no one talks about it. We can’t solve a problem that we’re afraid to discuss.

Revved Up Kids partners with schools, youth-serving organizations, private groups, police departments (including the Roswell Police Department), healthcare organizations, after-school programs, summer camps and others to bring training to children ages 5-18. In March, 2022, Revved Up Kids celebrated training its 40,000th child (pictured). The longtime training partner who helped RUK reach this milestone was The Cottage School right here in Roswell.
