This year, in honor of America’s 250th birthday, Twisted X and Dripping Springs City Lifestyle teamed up to host a Fourth of July celebration, and our community showed up in the best way.
Local businesses set up booths, served food, handed out merch, and brought plenty of red, white, and blue spirit. Families came ready to hang out, kids did what kids do when there’s a big open space and lots of excitement, and everywhere you looked, people were visiting with friends, neighbors, and probably a few people they hadn’t seen since Founders Day.
And then came the fireworks.
As the sky lit up with one of the most incredible fireworks displays we’ve seen in a while, it was one of those moments that made you stop for a second and take it all in. Two hundred and fifty years is a lot of history, and while our country has certainly changed along the way, there’s still something pretty special about gathering together to celebrate the place we get to call home.
In a world where not everyone gets to gather, speak up, or chase big ideas, having the freedom to do so is a pretty good reason to be thankful.
We’re grateful to Twisted X for helping bring this celebration to life, to every local business that joined us, and to all of you who came out to celebrate our great country.
Good people, fireworks, and a summer night in Dripping Springs was a pretty great way to wish America a happy 250th.
