Steve’s Quality Processing is a locally owned meat processing shop owned by Steve Kephart. They process cows, deer, sheep, goats, pigs, bears, and even elk. Everything is cut to the customers' liking. “We do it all,” says Steve. “We do jerky meat, summer sausages, snack sticks, bacon burgers, and it’s all done here on the premises.”
Steve has been cutting meat his entire life. He grew up on a dairy farm and learned how to cut meat in Strykersville, New York working for a family-owned business. The building for Steve’s Quality Processing was previously a meat market before Steve purchased it in 2010.
Some processing facilities will combine deer from different hunters during processing but Linda Kearney tells us that at Steve’s Quality Processing, the deer you bring them is the deer you bring home. Linda has worked with Steve for twelve years and says that it’s like working with family. Steve’s sons have worked with him and several of Linda’s family members have also worked with them. “We like to think that when people come to work with us, they are a part of the family,” says Linda.
The team at Steve’s Quality Processing takes pride in their work and works hard each day to provide quality meat. During deer season, they often work from daylight until dark processing orders. They appreciate their customers and would like to say thank you to them for supporting their small business.
Steve’s Quality Processing is open Monday through Sunday from 8:00am to 10:00pm. During the off season, they are open by appointment only. Find them at 2373 Williston Road Aiken, SC 29803. Contact Steve at 803-443-1558 or call their office at 803-652-2799.
