Craig & Streight Orthodontics Bringing Smiles to All Ages

It’s easy to come to work when your job is all about creating awesome smiles. That’s why Dr. Robi Craig and Dr. Ryan Streight thoroughly enjoy their role as specialists enhancing the smiles of central Oklahoma’s children and adults.

As co-owners of Craig & Streight Orthodontics, the two doctors, along with their colleague and associate Dr. Heather Kierl, bring decades of experience to their patients. They’re dedicated to maintaining the high standards established by the original owner of the 40+-year-old practice, Dr. Mack Rose, who believed in both top-quality professional care and in giving back to the community. Dr. Rose’s connection with the current owners goes back decades. In fact, it was Dr. Rose who fitted Dr. Streight with braces when he was just in middle school.

Craig & Streight today cares for patients from ages 7 through adult and offers a full spectrum of orthodontic treatments. These include traditional metal braces as well as more aesthetically appealing alternatives, such as clear ceramic braces and Invisalign. The doctors also provide orthodontic-related care for patients with sleep apnea, TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder) and other issues that require surgical intervention.

Drs. Craig, Streight and Kierl are all University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry grads. To become an orthodontist, each completed an additional two to three years of specialized training after earning their dental degrees. Dr. Craig completed her post-graduate training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Louisiana State University. Dr. Streight holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, also in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Kierl obtained a Master of Science degree from the OU College of Dentistry.

With the practice growing, Craig & Streight Orthodontics has expanded its locations, and has offices in Mustang and South Oklahoma City, as well as Norman.

“We strive to make an all-inclusive warm and welcoming environment. Our goal is to make a real connection with all our patients,” Dr. Streight said. “We aim to make the orthodontic process both affordable and efficient, so you get the smile you deserve in the shortest possible time.”

At Craig & Streight, patients have the benefit of decades of experience and the services of top experts in the latest treatments. The practice is an Invisalign Diamond Provider, which is a designation given only to orthodontists who have top-tier experience working with clear aligners to move teeth.

“We have treated over a thousand cases with clear aligners, and our results speak for themselves,” Streight said. “There are very few cases that are not candidates for Invisalign in our office, so if you’ve been told you’re not a good candidate, you should call us. We adopted this technology early to learn how to provide the same high-quality results with an aesthetic alternative method that people want.

“There are many options available for orthodontic treatment. We strive to customize each person’s treatment with their individual needs and preferences. We care about what you want, and we want you to get it in the most efficient way possible,” Streight said. “We don’t want you in treatment for longer than necessary, so we work to complete most comprehensive cases in 18 months. But many cases can be finished in as little as six to nine months!”

A huge part of the practice for all three doctors is their focus on giving back to the community–a tradition established by Dr. Rose. As one example, they offer a scholarship program which covers the cost of braces for children in need.

Two of those program recipients are Alex Cruz and Zachary Lopez. Alex, in particular, had severely misaligned teeth that made him extremely self-conscious and embarrassed, said his mother, Jennifer Lopez. “It has changed their lives so much for the better,” Lopez said. “These doctors are so nice, and I love how they really pump kids up about the benefits and what braces can do for them.”

Even outside the office, patients can learn more about treatments, including a blog and FAQ on orthodontics/dental-related issues, through the practice’s website, CraigandStreight.com and its Facebook page, @craigstreight. The Norman practice’s location is at 706 24th Ave. NW; the South Oklahoma City office is located at 10001 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 130; and the Mustang office is at 1476 N. Mustang Road. All three practices can be reached by calling 321.1926.

“Our goal is to blend high-quality orthodontic treatment with impeccable customer service and a happy environment,” Dr. Streight said. “The best part of our job is connecting with amazing people and seeing them smile!”
