This October, downtown Sherman is going around the world, one glass at a time.
Hosted by Downtown Sherman NOW, this year’s Stroll on the Square invites guests to experience an international wine tasting without ever leaving the heart of the city. The event will feature wines from Italy, France, Spain, the United States, Australia, and Romania, giving guests the opportunity to taste and discover wines from a variety of regions and traditions.
Adding to the experience, each block of the Square will have its own destination inspired theme. As guests move from block to block, the atmosphere will change, creating a stroll that feels like a collection of different places brought together in downtown Sherman. Food stops, live music, entertainment, and plenty of fun will add to the atmosphere, giving guests even more reasons to explore and stay awhile.
The celebration begins with the VIP Grand Tasting on Thursday, October 1. The evening offers a special introduction to this year’s event and gives VIP guests the chance to begin exploring the international lineup before the main Stroll on the Square takes place.
On Saturday, October 3, the full event takes over downtown. Guests can spend the evening walking between themed blocks, sampling wines, stopping for food, enjoying live music, and spending time with friends. The international selections offer plenty of variety, whether you’re drawn to the familiar flavors of France and Italy or interested in discovering something new from Romania, Australia, Spain, or the United States.
The event brings together local businesses, residents, visitors, and wine enthusiasts while encouraging everyone to explore the Square and enjoy an evening together.
For those who have attended Stroll on the Square in previous years, the Around the World theme brings a fresh twist to a longtime favorite. For first time guests, it is an easy introduction to one of downtown Sherman’s signature events.
