Why did I choose STRONG?
I attended my first STRONGCAMP in 2015. It was there that I found my passion for STRONG and what it represents. It is a place where all women can come together to encourage, motivate, inspire, and push each other beyond their expectations, both physically and mentally, regardless of their fitness level.
I’ve attended 13 STRONGCAMPS in 5 states and hosted two very successful camps of my own. My passion and driving force come from my belief in what “STRONG” means. Yet the meaning of STRONG can change for an individual throughout the years. What I mean is that “STRONG” to me means something different today than it did back in 2015. To believe in yourself and have pride in all you do, to believe in others and help them achieve their goals, to inspire and help women gain the confidence they never knew they had, and to pour your heart and soul into the things you value most… these are all STRONG attributes.
What is STRONGCAMP?
STRONGCAMP is a 2 day all women’s fitness, health, and wellness event powered by Strong Fitness Magazine. This is an entire weekend dedicated to pushing your physical limits, finding inspiration, setting personal goals, escaping daily stressors, and finding inner strength. It gives you a chance to bond with lik- minded women who share similar goals and struggles. You will push yourself… perhaps even surprise yourself!
There are multiple workouts that may include CrossFit, High Intensity Intervals, Zumba, POUND, STRONG by Zumba, obstacle course, team building workouts, fun challenges, a hike, and yoga. There are also informational breakouts including nutrition, resilience, and other related topics. The signature workout of the weekend is a CrossFit workout in memory of 23 year Army Veteran MSgt Brian Tripp. Land Warrior CrossFit owner, David Tripp lost his brother to suicide in 2011. David and his wife Susan have played a critical role, welcoming STRONGCAMP to their facility since 2018! To help express our gratitude, we hold a fundraiser, donating to a non-profit organization in Brian’s memory, offered to students graduating from Suffield High School or Cheney Technical High School.
These workouts can be adjusted for every fitness level. Do you have to be fit to attend? Absolutely not, this isn’t about being “fit” it is about being the best version of yourself that you can be. It is about doing the things you CAN do and keeping a positive attitude.
Registration is now open, reserve your spot today! The fun begins Friday night with a meet & greet social and a group dinner Saturday night!
