There is no denying that when we take care of ourselves and we take the time to dress up , we feel better, others may notice, you may even get a compliment or two and who doesn’t love that.
Come along with me, and let’s dive into the wonderful world of Winter fashion 2024 with 10 ideas that make you feel stylish! They may already be in your closet!
It’s easy to think, the seasons change and now I’m have to spend a plethora of money and revamp my wardrobe. But we all have some fashion choices in our closet that we can’t seem to part ways with and now those may have come back into style. This is one of those seasons.

You may have hung onto those Leopard items that you’ve come to love. Leopard is back in full force no matter how you wear it, just do it sparingly.
2.Brown Boots
Some of you have held onto your chocolate brown UGG boots… or Brown anything for that matter… hot chocolate brown is all the rage this fallen winter . As is camel suede with a pointed toe and a kitten heel.
3. Preppy
For me preppy never goes out… Maybe in the depths of your closet you have your tried in true duck boots.. get those out, even musicians like Noah Kahan are showing up in their preppy gear.
4. Baggy jeans /wide leg jeans
It can be so overwhelming as a woman to want to have the it blue jeans of the season, we could go broke for how often that trend changes. So, I love to find ways around buying the latest trend. One way around the new blue jeans trend of barrel jeans or baggy jeans is to either raid your boys or Husband ‘s closet and throw on a pair of their jeans if they are larger by a size then that is perfect. Just toss a cuff at the ankle and you are in style.
The waist will drop and create the bagginess of a barrel Jean without spending a penny. If you don’t have the luxury of borrowing from boys or men, then my next suggestion would be to go to your local thrift. A trend we’re also seeing is a wide leg cropped jean with a frayed hem. This is easy to do by cutting your own jeans and taking a pin to fray the edges.
5.Fur
If you were lucky enough to hang onto your furry vest or coat from seasons past, those are back in a big way . You can wear them on top of a jean jacket, underneath a puffy vest or any way you like just get them out of the closet, fluff them up and you are ready to go. The best thing is, you don’t need to get dressed up to wear them. We are seeing so much pairing with blue jeans or casual rolled up khakis. Even grey sweat pants.
6.Ski wear
Even if you are more a cocoa by fire gal, the fair aisle sweater or any ski inspired fashion items are a definite go to for winter. Think LL bean, J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, Sperry, or Lands End.
7. Living color
One of the major highlights for the season is the color burgundy… we all remember when burgundy and Hunter green were all the rage. Well it is raging again in full force. As well as greens from army to Kelly, get your green on.
8.Camo/sequins
A pinch of camouflage here and there or a dash of sequin is always appropriate as long as you don’t overdo it, think of it as a garnish .
9. tweed/plaid blazers/coats
Some staple pieces in our wardrobe are always the go to blazers. The runways are showing more of a tailored blazer with a baggy jean instead of the oversized blazers that we saw last season.
And speaking of coats, ankle length coats, whether it is a trench, dress coat or a long sweater coat. A long coat looks great worn open with layering underneath to keep you warm. Plaid, checks and tweeds always seem to be in fashion for fall and winter. Things are a little more tailored and streamlined than last season, more cropped and of course layered with other patterns.
10.Satin
Satin Maxi skirts are still a perfectly good compliment to your sneakers and paired with a sweatshirt. It’s definitely a high low look. If you have satin in your wardrobe, sneak it in somewhere.
Wishing you the most stylish, coziest , and colorful holidays!
