Fall Style Guide

Stay On Trend this Fall with Great Finds for Him and Her

Fashion trends constantly change, usually taking inspiration from Fashion Week runway shows. One of the biggest trends for 2022, extending into fall, is using bright, bold colors. Katie Eastwood, stylist ambassador for Stitch Fix, says that, “By celebrating the bold, the colorful and all that sparkles, designers are offering a form of escapism, allowing people to embrace something positive through their aesthetic.”

Most fashion experts agree that you can use on-trend items to accentuate a classic wardrobe. Don’t be afraid to accessorize and use those Fashion Week shows as a bit of inspiration.

Some of the hottest trends this year include:

  • Color color color. You can go with a head-to-toe bright color, or go a little slower adding color by choosing that pair of red loafers, a bright-colored scarf or a handbag that sets you apart.

  • Silk and satin—oh my! Yes, silk and satin are in this year. Whether it's a dress for dinner, casual pants, jumpers or loungewear, lightweight fabrics with a sheen are all the rage.

  • High-waisted trousers or low-rise trousers. Extremes are in this year. Pair high-waisted, wide-leg trousers with a boxy jacket, or choose low-rise trousers with a cut-out shirt or off-the-shoulder option.

  • Big, boxy jackets are a fashion staple. These are great in black, but other colors can offer a nice accent. Pair with jeans, skirts, knit dresses for a sharp look.

  • Blazers are high fashion. Tailored silhouettes are popular, and a micro blazer is the in item right now. They pair well with miniskirts or jeans.

  • Fringe is in. Crochet, tassels, and macrame are in like they haven’t been since the 70s. Have fun with fringe!

  • Denim is cool again. Denim on denim is popular and the sense of nostalgia makes this a fun trend. Faded or stonewashed denim is most popular, but dark denim has its place.

  • Boots are hot. Cowboy boots are popular again as are short boots and chunky clogs. Pair them with a dress or over jeans.

  • Leopard print is the new neutral. Animal prints, in general, are hot and showed up on this year’s runways. Now, you can treat that animal print as you would have a solid neutral—layer it and add bright accessories.

  • Sequins are for every day. No longer are sequins and sparkles reserved for special occasions. A little bit of bling is hot right now.

  • Sporty sunglasses are a great accessory. They can be sporty, futuristic or classic. They pair well with everything from leggings to suits.

  • Chunky shoes are the rage. A chunky loafer is perfect for low-rise trousers or a miniskirt.

  • Accessorize with confidence. Find the perfect hat, watch or statement jewelry piece and go bold and big this year.

People are beginning to see the value of investing in good additions to your wardrobe and building on that year over year. Don’t forget to also invest in comfortable clothes that you can wear to the gym, around the house or when you want to go casual. Sustainable materials are on trend, with organic cotton, hemp, bamboo and more trending in both men’s and women’s styles.

We pulled together a few of our favorite finds for him and her. These are our go-to picks for fall 2022 style.
