Jennifer Mayrath and the experts from Clotheshorse Anonymous share the latest trends for Fall 2024:
As Summer comes to an end and Fall finds its way back to Texas, there is a challenge to dress to the season during September’s temperature transition. Even though the calendar says Fall, the temperature can stay upward of 80 degrees in Texas. The style experts at Clotheshorse Anonymous have given us a few tips on how to transition your wardrobe into Fall with some stylish trends that are wearable long before the first cold snap.
1. SEXY and SHEER: One big trend on the runways for Fall 2024 is very transparent, sheer fabrics and gauzy materials. "Naked Dressing" as some call it dominated at St. Laurent and shots of sheer popped up in collections from Gucci, Fendi, and Proenza Schouler. With this trend, ladies can layer strategically or bare it all.
2. FRINGE BENEFITS: Fringe is one of those trends that continues to pop up on the runways. It is also a common thread amongst the dress codes and street styles of editors, buyers, and influencers attending the shows. Bottega Veneta continues to drive home its artisanal prowess with micro leather fringe throughout their accessories. Dries Van Noten strategically placed tinsel twinkling fringes on suiting.
3. GOING GREEN: Every season there is a color or two that seem to dominate the runways and color the season. This fall that color is green, a symbol of renewal. All shades and hues of green painted the runways from emerald to olive and clover to chartreuse. Going green is easy to do in any temperature.
4. CALL OF THE WILD: I am fairly certain that animal prints are always in style in Texas, but this season the rest of the world is on the same page. Animal prints from all patterns, and in all shapes, especially cheetah is dominant in collections from Marni, Versace, and Alexander McQueen.
Sheer Fabrics are a big trend for fall and a lightweight option for warm climates.
