Style...Yes, Men Need it Too

Come Find Your Favorite Man Cave

Whether you are a guy looking to achieve the style you want, are seeking to get the ultimate experience in male facial and head hair grooming, or are simply needing a haircut from the coolest new barbershop around, Diesel Barbershop is the place to go.

Upon walking in, you get the feeling you are in for something special. To the left are arcade games for you to pass the time should you need to while waiting for your stylist. At the reception desk, you will not only receive a friendly greeting, but you'll also be offered a complimentary drink—water, soda or beer. See the difference already? This truly is a "man cave for great haircuts!"

You can't help but be drawn to the decor, from the red and black garage-style tool stands used for the stylists' worktables to the many items mounted on the wall and throughout the shop—posters from old movies and great quotes. It's colorful and well done; your eyes will stay busy all throughout your session.

Richard Harvey and his two brothers recently opened this fantastic shop just west of North Hardin Road on U.S. 380 (University Drive). They are opening a second shop soon on FM 423, just north of Eldorado Parkway.

Both his excitement and pride show when Richard speaks about his franchises. No wonder—the website (DieselBarbershop.com) states, "The look and feel of Diesel Barbershop is part-barbershop, part-salon, part-old school record store, part-mechanics garage, part-tattoo shop and part-vintage arcade." What's not to like?

Now, for the serious stuff. They offer everything to a simple haircut to a unique style of your own, created by professional stylists, as well as hot towel shaves, beard grooming and more. Jodi, a hairstylist there, spoke of how she had worked in similar barbershops for men but was timed and had to meet a time limit for each cut.

"Here, I get to take my time and make sure I get the results the customer wants," Jodi says.

Drop by soon to check out this truly special barbershop. It will, indeed, become your favorite escape from salons full of gossip and the smell of perms. It is, after all, a man cave.

The look and feel of Diesel Barbershop is part-barbershop, part-salon, part-old school record store, part-mechanics garage, part-tattoo shop and part-vintage arcade—a true man cave for great haircuts!
