Alpharetta’s newest chic location for a lovely dining experience, Sulit Coffee and Wine Bar and owners Danielle Crawford and Zewdalem Leyew create a special space to offer nutritious food in a lovely setting.
Alpharetta City Lifestyle: What motivated you to open a restaurant?
About 8 years ago we discussed opening a business built around the two things we loved: coffee and wine! We knew that it would have to have great food as well. Most people ask us what does “Sulit” mean? It means, “worth it” in the Tagalog language. For us, this new beginning is definitely worth it because this has been a dream of ours that is now a reality. We wanted to create an inviting environment with great customer service that will make customers want to return.
ACL: Who would you like to see in your restaurant?
Our customer is anyone that loves great coffee, an awesome wine selection, great food and pastries, and an inviting atmosphere. We welcome customers that need a place to work on their laptop, a space to conduct a business meeting, a place to go for date night, or someone looking to enjoy a nice night out with family or friends. We feel Sulit has something for everyone!
ACL: Are there any special events coming up?
We have regular events planned, such as our Wednesday wine tastings, which we will have 1-2 times a month, live music nights with local pianists, guitarists, and An Evening with Celebrity Saxophonist: Richard Shaw, as well as comedy nights beginning in September.
