Summer Classics Home Atlanta has been a partner with Polo in the Pines, contributing beautiful outdoor seating to the event that has raised $345,000 for pediatric brain cancer research through The Sharon McCollum Knight, Polo in the Pines Pediatric Cancer Research Fund at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. “As a company, Summer Classics Home has always strived to give back to the communities that we serve,” says Vice President of Retail, Marianne Minogue. “With the Polo in the Pines event held in the heart of Atlanta, we knew that it was not only a great opportunity to show off our furniture, but it is for a cause that we felt strong about supporting. We received great feedback about design, comfort, style, and our willingness to support such a wonderful cause”

Vintage Coastal: Remember the ’70s when rattan was everywhere? Well, it is back and bigger than ever. The natural aesthetic and beautiful woven technique adds texture and richness to outdoor spaces and can suit many styles, whether rustic, coastal or tropical. Even though rattan and woven wicker furniture is not anything new to the Summer Classics product line, our designers really dove deep this year as they added a “vintage coastal” twist to the new designs.
Eco-Conscious Design: Many brands are investing in scientific research & cutting-edge technologies to create beautiful products while minimizing their environmental impact. Summer Classics is also doing its part to preserve the health of our environment. If sustainable design is on your radar this year, check out the stylish Wind Collection made with Resysta, an Earth-friendly resin produced from rice husks, salt, and mineral oil. This innovative, weather-resistant material will also require less maintenance over its lifetime.
Adirondack Flashback: Offering a modern take on the Adirondack chair, two of our newest collections, Ashland and Kennebunkport, are inspired off of this classic style seating that has stood the test of time. The trend of “outdoor living” really come to life over the years as technology and social media has become a way of living. People are looking for a place to escape, so what better way to escape, than in your own backyard (or balcony), with the classic style Adirondack chair you grew-up lounging in.
Daring Color
Today, most furniture brands are offering a plethora of textiles in every pattern, texture, and shade of the rainbow. Color can influence our mood and convey our individuality, so use it to your advantage! Tasteful neutrals will always occupy a special place in our heart, but this outdoor living trend for 2019 is a chance to be bold with beautiful hues.
Less is More
As the old saying goes, “sometimes, less is more”. In 2019, design trends are revealing this oft-repeated idiom to be true; the minimalist design is having a major comeback. Streamlined silhouettes, functional materials, and muted color palettes are all important elements of this understated design trend.
