Susie Corona blends her passion for golf and real estate prowess

Susie Corona has a passion for helping others in golf, life, and real estate.

She got her start in golf at the Desert Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ where she was the merchandiser for the golf shops. During her free time, Susie would volunteer to pick up balls for the Golf Digest School’s Hall of Fame golf instructors in exchange for golf lessons. She started competing in amateur tournaments, excelling quickly and, after winning the 1990 AZ Women’s State Stroke Play, decided to turn professional in 1991. Though she loved competing, Susie discovered that her true passion lay in helping amateur players during the Pro-Am events. In 1995 she became an LPGA teaching professional.

Susie taught golf in Houston, Texas, where she married Danny Corona. In 1997 they moved back to Scottsdale, Arizona where she returned to Desert Mountain Golf Club as the assistant director of instruction. Dedication, desire to help her students, and a love for the game as an LPGA Class A golf instructor led Susie to become one of Golf Digest's top 100 golf instructors.

Along with her love of golf, Susie had a strong passion for real estate. She would help her students look for homes in local golf communities. In 2003, Susie got her real estate license. Two years later, Danny got his license so that he could provide additional support, which allowed time for Susie to continue teaching golf.

In 2013, Susie faced a formidable challenge when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She continued teaching golf and assisting real estate clients throughout her chemotherapy and is now cancer-free. In 2015 Danny joined Susie as a full-time partner at their newly formed CoronaTeam at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties. They became one of the top realtor teams in Arizona.

In 2019, they decided to move closer to their extended family in Roswell. Their daughter Riley had just graduated from William and Mary where she played on the women's golf team and was heading to LSU for her MBA. Their son Charlie was pursuing his undergraduate degree at LSU. They purchased a home in Brookfield Country Club and joined the club where they began to play golf, meet new friends, and become actively involved with the community. Susie’s passion for competing returned and she reclaimed her amateur status. She won the 2023 Brookfield Country Club Women’s Championship and competes on Team Play with other ladies from the club.

“Both Danny and I love Brookfield Country Club. It’s a relaxed environment with unassuming members. The golf course is aesthetically pleasing, yet very challenging. The amenities, swimming, tennis, pickleball and beautiful clubhouse, are what makes Brookfield Country Club subdivision one of the most sought-after communities,” says Susie. “I’ve also had the privilege of playing at other beautiful clubs in the Metro-Atlanta area, which has expanded our knowledge of the neighborhoods and communities that surround these various golf clubs,” she says. The CoronaTeam has found their niche in the real estate market, working with buyers and sellers in or around golf communities.

Susie and Danny have a strong passion and determination to make the real estate process as rewarding as possible for all their clients. Their professional interaction with all parties involved in the transaction, their knowledge of the market, and strong negotiating skills, combined with integrity and perseverance, have elevated their real estate business to new heights. For their considerable efforts, The CoronaTeam was recognized in 2023 as BHHSGeorgia Properties President’s Circle, which represents the top 5% of the company globally.
