For Teresa Morgan, it’s all about reruns. “I live in a black-and-white world,” she laughs. “I’m a MeTV fan.” A happy nod to those channels dedicated to TV’s classics—Hitchcock to Hillbillies, Mork to Maude, it’s all binge-worthy gold. Teresa, of course, has her faves, something we uncovered by accident. Originally an ask for her top movies featuring strong, iconic women, the fact that she’s hooked on Antenna TV was a perfectly sweet twist—she offered us three shows featuring, well … strong, iconic women.
“I can go home, turn it on, just watch—and forget about the day.” And isn’t that something we all need more of these days?
The Loveland Dairy Whip has been in Teresa’s family on and off since the early ’70s. In 2001, she and her husband took over sole ownership—there’s a poster inside featuring that quintessential Lucy and Ethel chocolate factory scene, often ironically similar to LDW’s drive-through line. “We’re always laughing, ‘Speed it up! Speed it up!’”
Teresa smiles about needing diversions that are nostalgic and normal—something her shows and LDW deliver in spades. “People are saying ‘thank you for being here, for being open.’ I can’t believe the outpouring—I thank them for their patience, kind words, all their support. I will tear up, because with everything going on right now, it just makes you really feel good.”
