The owner of this mouthwatering establishment, Rocco, has a “welcome to my house” attitude and energy that has spilled over into his business and has become the key to guests, both local and out-of-towners, returning with enthusiasm. He is incredibly busy with overseeing his nine locations, approving menus, planning new promotions and events, and visiting the restaurants to interact with both the staff and guests, but it’s all second nature to him as it’s been part of his life from a very young age. Growing up in New York City, Rocco watched his grandfather manage the famed Copacabana Nightclub and knew he would pursue a career in the restaurant business. In 1997, Rocco moved to West Palm where he worked as a busboy for Big Time Restaurant Group. While managing Moquilla, a Mexican restaurant in Bacon Raton, Rocco was inspired to open his own place. After gathering his own team, they traveled the country and Mexico to study and taste the cuisine so Rocco’s Tacos would be second to none.
Rocco’s Tacos is on the right track to becoming a powerful force in the restaurant business. With locations all over Florida, even reaching into Brooklyn, the encouraging and high-energy environments of each setting are providing patrons with unforgettable experiences. Rocco works hard to provide an inviting, fun atmosphere with unbeatable food and music by building a solid foundation: putting his associates first, upholding high values and incorporating authentic culture. He must be doing something right as the Orlando location earned a spot on the Open Table’s “Top 100 Hot Spot Restaurants in America.” This is only the beginning, though. When asked what the future plans are for the restaurant, Rocco says, “We always have exciting things in the works, but nothing that I can disclose at the moment. Keep an eye out!”
