Teamwork is Dreamwork

Couples who work together, stay together.

Meet Preston Hess and Tatianna Diaz

Tell us about your business:

Alpha Properties was started when we moved to Florida in 2019. Alpha Properties is a luxury renovation company specializing in investment properties. At first, it was just the two of us doing everything from demo to competition. It has now evolved into a full family business.

As a couple, how do you find work-life balance?

We love starting our day with quality time, doing our devotionals together, and hitting the gym before the work day. We set Sundays aside to go to church and spend time together, at the beach, at home, or with friends and family. We also sneak in an occasional date night!

Working together can be challenging! What is a key strategy for a successful partnership?

Recognizing each other's strengths and allowing one another to focus on those areas helps to reduce conflict. We both agreed that at the end of the day, the most important thing is our marriage and we will never let our business jeopardize that. Respect and support for one another are key.

Meet Lindsey and Matt Brown

Tell us about your business:

We are a husband-wife real estate team and have worked together off and on for 15 years, in Naples and New Jersey.  Matt primarily works with clients and Lindsey handles the website and marketing.  It’s a great blend of our skillsets and interests.

As a couple, how do you find work-life balance?

For the most part, our work and family life balance works well. Since both of us have flexible schedules, we are able to back each other up easily and have a complete understanding of the role and responsibilities of the other.

Working together can be challenging! What is a key strategy for a successful partnership?

We have separate home offices which allows for uninterrupted calls and quiet time in between a busy schedule.  We also make sure to eat lunch together most days so we can discuss and focus on business planning.
