Colorado has some of the most beautiful golf courses in the country—and some are right in our back yard

Colorado Golf Club
8000 Preservation Trail, Parker

This private, member-owned championship course, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, features 1,700 acres of ponderosa pines, scenic hillsides and open meadows.

Considered one of golf’s finest modern courses, CGC opened in 2007 and hosted the 71st Senior PGA Championship just three years later. From the first hole that offers a view of Mount Evans to the rugged, natural terrain surrounding the 18th hole, golfers of all ages and abilities will enjoy the challenge and beauty of Colorado Golf Club.

Member amenities include a 44,000-square-foot clubhouse; fine and casual dining; a pool with pool-side service, two hot tubs, and fitness center; and access to six cottages located adjacent to the practice facility. (303) 840-5400; coloradogolfclub.com

The Pinery Country Club
6900 North Pinery Parkway, Parker

Created by golf course architect David Bingham and completed in 1975, The Pinery Country Club offers 27 holes divided into three distinct nine-hole courses—Lake, Valley, and Mountain. They can be played in any combination, allowing members and their guests to indulge in a unique challenge every time they play.

Beyond golf, members have access to indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a fitness center, and a newly renovated aquatics center that includes three swimming pools. Myriad social events held year-round include wine-tasting dinners, holiday parties, weekly kids’ club activities, and parent-child golf and tennis championships.
