As women business owners, we care deeply. We want to serve well, deliver excellence, and build something meaningful. We say yes because we see potential. We go the extra mile because it feels right.
But here is my two cents: profit deserves a seat at the table, too.
Revenue tells you that you are working. Profit tells you that your work is sustainable.
Profit allows you to breathe. It gives you margin in your calendar and confidence in your decisions. It creates space to invest, grow, and rest. Without it, even a business you love can start to feel heavy.
Prioritizing profit does not make you less generous. Raising your rates does not make you less kind. Setting boundaries does not make you difficult. It makes your business stable enough to keep serving.
When you understand your numbers, something shifts. You move from guessing to guiding. From reacting to leading. From hoping it works to building with intention.
Let profit support the vision you work so hard to create.
